Rani advises and represents clients in matters throughout New York in State and Federal courts involving professional liability, rail and transportation litigation, toxic tort, and personal injury. Prior to joining LCBF, Rani was an Assistant District Attorney in Queens County. He handled a caseload of approximately 65 felony matters as a line assistant in their Felony Trial Bureau. He has presented numerous cases to the grand jury and has taken cases from their inception to plea and pre-trial proceedings.

Rani received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School, where Rani was the Executive Notes Editor for the Brooklyn Law School Journal of International Law and Member of the Brooklyn Law School Moot Court Honors Society, Appellate Division. While in law school, Rani clerked for Magistrate Stewart Aaron, Southern District of New York and was a clinic participant with the New York City Law Department in their Special Federal Litigation Division where Rani defended police officers in federal court. Rani was a silver pro bono award recipient for his 500+ hours of public service, recipient of the Prince Scholarship and Dean’s Merit Scholarship throughout his time in law school and published his student note for the Brooklyn Journal of International Law in their 45th volume.

Prior to law school, Rani attended Queens College, City University of New York, where he graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration (B.B.A), magna cum laude, with majors in both Corporate Finance and Economics.
