Following an Administrative Hearing, LCBF secured a complete dismissal of a Department of Sanitation Summons issued against our client, who operates a medical practice. The Hearing was held before the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings where the Department of Sanitation alleged that our client had improperly disposed of medical waste, which carried a maximum penalty of $10,000. Following the Hearing, the Judicial Hearing Officer dismissed the charges, holding that we had proved through our presentation of witness and documentary evidence that the purported medical waste could not have originated from the client. The Hearing was handled by Shayna Bryton and Nakia Small.
