In a case pursued by a Pro Se plaintiff, it was alleged that the plaintiff experienced $10,000 in damages from the loss of his luggage. LCBF had obtained a defense verdict during arbitration, which was appealed to the state court.
In the Complaint, plaintiff claimed to attach exhibits but same were never included. Plaintiff also never responded to Greyhound’s letter requesting these documents or Greyhound’s formal discovery requests. Greyhound obtained a defense verdict during arbitration but plaintiff appealed same. At the bench trial, we were able to demonstrate the lack of proof of any negligence by the bus company through a tactful cross examination of the plaintiff. As a result, the Court issued a compulsory non-suit verdict, dismissing plaintiff’s claims. The trial team was led by Velika Nespor.
