Rebecca protects and defends her clients with proactive advocacy throughout all phases of civil litigation including trials, administrative proceedings, and appeals.  She has extensive experience representing corporations, employers and professionals in a variety of civil litigation matters in New York state and federal courts involving employment discrimination, accounting and legal malpractice, commercial disputes and toxic tort.

One of Rebecca’s most recent jury trials resulted in a directed verdict for her client who was a defendant in a federal discrimination suit.  She also has successfully received pre-discovery dismissals on behalf of numerous professional clients.

She is trusted by clients to discern what is in their best interest and to efficiently and effectively achieve set goals.  As a valued member of their professional team, clients often ask Rebecca for advice on how to prevent future litigation.   Rebecca regularly presents employment discrimination education training to her clients’ employees, supervisors and managers on issues such as the appropriate handling of discrimination and harassment complaints, including reporting, investigation and discipline.

Rebecca also helps her clients create and update employee handbooks and internal education programs on which they can rely to prevent and, where necessary, defend claims.  She also writes and speaks on various other topics requested by her clients, such as Certified Public Accountants seeking to limit malpractice and risk exposure and assure compliance with applicable professional standards.

Rebecca is a member of the firm's management committee.
