Sam represents clients throughout the states of New Jersey and New York in state and federal courts.  His practice focuses on litigation related to rail transportation, toxic tort, environmental law, and professional liability.

Prior to joining the firm, Sam worked as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office for several years. In that role,  Sam successfully litigated several jury trials to guilty verdicts on cases involving, but not limited to, charges of homicide, firearm possession, and aggravated assault.

Prior to that, Sam served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Barry A. Weisberg, J.S.C., Civil and Criminal Division, Middlesex Vicinage, Superior Court of New Jersey, where he drafted legal memoranda to the court reaching legal conclusions on arguments raised by counsel in pre- and post-trial motions, municipal appeals, and Post-Conviction Relief petitions.  As a judicial law clerk, Sam was also certified to mediate cases filed in small claims and tenancy court pursuant to N.J. Court Rule 1:40-12(b)(5).

Sam received his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law, where he served as the Managing Notes Editor of the Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal and competed in the Robert F. Wagner National Labor & Employment Law Moot Court Competition.  While in law school, Sam served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Chief Justice Stuart Rabner of the Supreme Court of New Jersey, where he drafted legal memoranda recommending whether to grant Supreme Court review pursuant to N.J. Court Rule 2:2-1(a)-(b).
